The definition to “Jumping” |
 |
The key word known in making a tasty English tea is “jumping”. Jumping refers to the tea leaves jumping up and down movement in hot water. These vertical movements encourage the leaves to open up and gradually and release more aroma and flavor. The secret to facilitate jumping depends on the water temperature. Hot water at approximately 95 degrees centigrade, the occurrence of air bubbles exists and makes the tea leaves jump. The tea leaves will continue jumping few times. The best timing to drink the tea is when the tea leaves stabilizes at the bottom. |

Hints to make tasty English Tea |

Place hand on lid when pouring. |

Warm pot by pouring hot water. Pour water out when pot is sufficiently warm.

Pour desired servings of tea leaves into pot.
To make English tea, add 1 heaping teaspoonful (approximately 3 g) of tea leaves for 1 serving.

Boil fresh-drawn water and pour into pot.
The recommended water temperature is approximately 95 degrees centigrade.

After thorough jumping, stir pot to spread flavor collected at the bottom evenly, and pour. |

When using finely ground tea leaves, the tea leaves may slip out through the strainer. In this case, when pouring, it is recommended to use a strainer with a handle. |

Procedure to apply strainer |

As shown in the image at the right, pull the spring hook from the inner side of the spout and hook.
*To avoid damage to the product, do not pull spring hook with full strength.

Use soft sponge and dishwashing liquid to wash the product. As shown below, the product may be damaged in case you use a soft sponge but may have a possibility to leave a scratch in the glass. In this case, do not use such sponge. |

The product may be damaged upon the use of cleanser or polisher containing grindstone. In this case, do not use such cleanser. |

After use, immediately wash strainer and dry with soft cloth. Strainer kept unwashed for long hours, or un-dried after washing may cause the strainer to tarnish. |
