Steaming possible by detaching the inside lid and placing it in the pot as a draining plate.
Body made of heat-resistant glass, lid and handles of polypropylene.  Neither material when microwaved, emits any industrial waste that may pollute the air or be environmentally harmful.
Comes with boiling (rice, gruel), steaming and stewing recipes.
how to use renji gama
 

＜How to boil rice＞
Place 2 level cups (in attached measuring cup) of rice in pot and wash.  Add water and leave for half to one hour.

   Microwave for 10~12 minutes.  ＊Heating time may vary depending on the microwave.
 Let steam for 5~10 minutes, mix with shamoji (serving scoop) and serve.
